ALCALA PARK – The University of San Diego will open the 2025 season by hosting TCU is a 4-game series at Cum Cunningham Stadium this weekend.
The series begins Friday (Feb. 14), then continues with contests throughout the weekend, then the series finale on Monday.
While the Toreros annually rank among the top ballclubs in the West Coast Conference, the same can be said about the Horned Frogs in the Big 12 Conference.
The TCU roster includes Camden Sos, who was an all-East County performer for Granite Hills.
Sos was also an All-CIF San Diego Section performer, eventually playing in the San Diego Senior All-Star game at Petco Park, getting named the event’s MVP in 2022.
Sos, a resident of Alpine, is the son of Brian Sos, who still ranks as the single-season and career home run leader at Grossmont College.
