Lemon Grove softball dominates section competition.

SPRING VALLEY — Lemon Grove Little League continues to build one of the area’s premier softball programs after qualifying four teams for California state tournament competition following the District 66 season.

The league will send its 10U, 11U, 12U and Junior League softball champions directly to state tournament play. Las Palmas also qualified its Senior League softball team for the state tournament.

District 66, which serves Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, Valley De Oro and neighboring East County communities, has continued to grow through the expansion of its softball programs.

Junior All-Stars won by Singing Hills

Singing Hills won the District 41 Junior Division All-Star championship.

District 41 Tournament of Champions

Several East County leagues captured Tournament of Champions titles this summer in softball.

• Lakeside National defeated West Hills, 7-2, to win the Minor Division championship.
• Rios Canyon defeated Fletcher Hills, 17-6, to capture the Major Division title.
• Rancho de Oro claimed the Intermediate Division championship with a 13-3 victory over Jamul after Jamul had forced a winner-take-all game by earning a 6-5 victory the previous day.
• Rancho San Diego defeated Singing Hills, 10-7, to win the Junior Division Tournament of Champions title.
