RAMONA — Sophomore defensive back Annabelle Bash intercepted two passes and led the defense with nine flag pulls, helping Ramona blank visiting Del Norte, 27-0, and claim a share of the Palomar League championship Monday (Oct. 19).

Ramona, which captured the Valley League crown in 2025, finished tied with Del Norte atop the Palomar League standings at 5-1. The Bulldogs earned the head-to-head tiebreaker with Monday’s victory.

Bash was followed by Kynzie King, Ramona’s season leader in flag pulls, with eight stops. Emersyn Bryant added six flag pulls.

On offense, Bulldogs quarterback Elisa Gaines fired three touchdown passes. The senior has thrown multiple scoring passes in all but two games this season and raised her total to 45 touchdown passes entering Thursday’s regular-season finale.

Remingtyn Bryant caught all three touchdown passes, establishing a personal single-game best. Bryant now owns 16 touchdown receptions this season and 33 during her career.

King accounted for Ramona’s other touchdown with a scoring run. She also led the Bulldogs’ ground attack with 44 rushing yards.

Ramona improved to 13-5 overall, while Del Norte fell to 12-6.

Over its first three seasons of flag football, Ramona owns a 15-3 record in league play. The Bulldogs advanced to the CIF San Diego Section Division III semifinals last season.

The shutout was Ramona’s fifth of the season. The Bulldogs close the regular season Thursday by hosting powerful Mission Hills (14-5).
