SAN CARLOS – Senior McKenna Gieger helped spur the offense as she drove in 4 runs to lead the Patrick Henry Patriots past the visiting Brawley Wildcats on Thursday afternoon.

Gieger (2-3, R, 4 RBI, HR) belted a three-run home run which was her sixth of the season over the left field fence in the third inning along with her first-inning single.

Patrick Henry behind Gieger’s single in the first inning would lead 1-0. They would go on to stretch the lead further in the bottom of the second inning thanks to Izzy Ervin (2-4, R, RBI, 2B, SB) doubling in Angelina Mazon (1-3, R) and Chloe Copeland (2-2, 2 R) coming into score on an error on a ball hit by Sophia Sanchez (2-4, R) to make it 3-0.

Belle Will (1-3, R, RBI, HR) the starting pitcher of record for the Patriots would help her cause with a solo home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Will earned the victory going all seven innings as she allowed no runs on three hits while walking three and striking out seven Wildcats.

Patrick Henry in the game tallied 11 hits including Ervin, Gieger, Sanchez, and Copeland all collecting two hits apiece in the game.

Henry moves to 10-6 on the year while Brawley falls to 5-8.
