SAN DIEGO (2-12-16) — Both the Christian Patriots and Crawford Colts played an even Central League contest, Thursday (Feb.11) but in the end the momentum swung in favor of the home team Colts 33-28.

The first quarter would see the Colts take the slim 11-7 lead but the Patriots turned up the defense in the second quarter as they limited Crawford to only three points to take the period 11-3 and lead 18-14 at the break.

The second half started off evenly as the teams tied 9-9 in the third period and the Patriots would hold the slim 27-23 lead. Unfortunately the Patriots could not hold onto the momentum as they couldn’t get their shots to fall and could only muster 10-1 in the fourth period.

Pacing the Patriots was BROOKE OWENS who poured in 14 points while MARISSA GILES finished with 8 points. One cool stat of the night was TAYLOR GIESE who only got into the game for a couple of minutes but contributed 2 steals on the night.

Christian: Brooke Owens 14 (5 reb, 2 stl), Marissa Giles 8 (4 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl), Jasmyn Crawford 4 (6 reb, 1 blk), Sage Salacup 2 (5 reb, 1 stl), Hayley Robinson (9 reb, 2 stl), Cipriana Hudson (2 reb), Taylor Giese (2 stl).
