Astros pitching prospect Joe Musgrove earned a no-decision in his Class AAA debut, allowing two runs, one earned, over five innings for Fresno on Friday night.
Musgrove, who threw 80 pitches, allowed five hits, struck out five and issued two walks. The 23-year-old right-hander out of Grossmont High induced eight groundball outs to two fly ball outs.
The start came just a day after Musgrove was promoted from Class AA Corpus Christi. He dominated Texas League hitters to the tune of a 0.34 ERA over 26 1/3 innings to begin the season.
