Unfortunately, it wasn’t the Patriots day in the first game of the day as they only got one run courtesy of a solo home run by Elle Lindblad in the bottom of the third inning.

In the second game of the day, the Patriots fared better and got the offense rolling right away with three runs in the top of the first inning.

A little change in the lineup by Coach Gentry sparked the team as Lauren Sherburne (2-4, R) led off with a single, Audrey Shebloski (1-3, R, SB, RBI) reached on an error which allowed Sherburne to move to third, Shebloski stole second base, Sherburne scored to make it 1-0 and Silent Rain Espinoza (1-3, R, 3 RBI, HR) hit a two-run jack to give the Patriots a 3-0 lead.

Christian added a couple more runs in the top of the third thanks to a single by Devyn Krysetk (2-3, 2R), followed by a double by Elle Lindblad (1-3, 2B, R) and a basehit by Shebloski scoring Krystek and a fielder’s choice by Espinoza scoring Lindblad to extend their lead 5-0.

San Fernando got a run back in the bottom of the inning to trail 5-1.

A two-run double by Allyson Brown (1-2, 2B, 2 RBI) for the Patriots in the top of the fifth scored both Krystek and Shannon McMahon (2-2, R) to round out the scoring.

San Fernando would score another run but that would be all they would get in the game.
