Braves get first look at Cougars’ Mikey

SAN YSIDRO – San Ysidro Cougars freshman sensation Mikey Williams scored 41 points in his high school debut on Wednesday night, leading his team past visiting El Cajon Valley, 98-46, in a non-league game.
Williams made three three-pointers while adding five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Another Cougar freshman, Jurian Dixon, added 20 points for San Ysidro. He led the team with seven assists and five steals.
Senior Kailen Rains had 18 points for SYHS.
The Braves outscored the Cougars, 14-4, in the fourth period.
ESCONDIDO CHARTER 83, LIBERTY CHARTER 37 – At Del Lago Tipoff, the Lions fell to 0-2 with the loss against the White Tigers.
SANTANA 54, SAN DIEGO ACADEMY 42 – From Tuesday, the Sultans won their opener against San Diego Academy.
