SAN MARCOS (12-9-2018) – The Palomar College women’s basketball team played during Saturday’s (Dec. 8) non-conference game against visiting Mt. San Antonio College in the Palomar Dome before the Comets sprung to life to outplay the Mounties over the balance of the game.

But deficits of 30-12 at halftime and 20 points midway through the third quarter proved just too big a hill to climb, as Mt. SAC (9-3) held on for a 56-47  victory.

The Comets (9-3) were ice cold shooting for most the game at 15-for-58 from the field, including just 4-for-27 from behind the 3-point arc. Except for Clarissa Taite’s 2-for-4 night from behind the arc, Palomar was an icy 2-for-23 on treys.

Julie Saelee (15 points, 4 rebounds an assist and 3 steals) and Taite (12 points, 2 steals and a rebound) were the only Comets to score in double figures. Lilly Crabtree contributed 8 rebounds and blocked 2 shots.
