Christian’s Barrios throws perfect game

FALLBROOK – Christian’s Tyler Krystek plagued the Fallbrook Warriors on Tuesday with a strong effort offensively in the 11-0 victory.

Not only did Christian offensively smash Fallbrook with 16 hits but Ava Barrios in the circle dominated the day as she threw el perfecto in the circle in which she fanned 10 warriors in the perfect win.

Krystek on the day would lead as she went a perfect 3-for-3 to go with her 2 RBI in the contest. Christian would also bang out four doubles courtesy of Ashley Wood (1-3, RBI, 2B), Keels Carrisoza (2-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2B), Kaitlyn Moody (2-3, R, 3 RBI, 2B) and Lucy Sherburne (2-3, R, 2 RBI).

Moody would knock in three runs while Carrisoza drove in a pair while Jordyn Krystek tripled and scored twice.

Christian remains perfect as they move to 5-0 on the season.

 

SANTANA 5, BONITA VISTA 2 – Despite being outhit the Santana Sultans would use a five-run third inning to prevail over Bonita Vista on Tuesday in tournament action.

Santana thanks to Emma Schneider who drove in a pair of runs with a base hit and Delaney Smith who belted a three-run home run jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

Ashlyn Darrow who drew the start for the Sultans would pick up the win as she went six innings in which she allowed two runs and struck out four.

The Sultans with the win move to 5-2 on the season.

 

EL CAPITAN 3, CALEXICO 3, tie – Calexico pushes across a late run in the contest to force a tie against El Capitan on Tuesday afternoon.

Calexico would take a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a double by Regina Rodriguez.

However, El Capitan would in the bottom of the sixth inning push ahead of the Bulldogs thanks to Addison Leone who drove in a pair of runs, and Alanna Christiaens who doubled in a run.

Ciara Bernardini for the Vaqueros went 2-for-4 on the day including a run scored.

El Capitan is now 1-1-2 on the season.

 

SOUTHWEST EC 1, WEST HILLS 1 – Despite a combined 22 hits between the two teams only a pair of runs would be pushed across on the scoreboard which ended up as a tie in the end.

Monet Zavala would give El Centro Southwest a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning.

However, that run was answered by West Hills in the bottom of the fifth inning when Katy Spargo belted a solo shot over the center-field fence to even the score.

Ava Goodman who started for the Wolf Pack would allow the one run on 12 hits and strike out 6 in the contest.

Samiya Wright and Goodman would each tally a pair of hits for the Pack.

West Hills is now 1-3-1 on the season.

 

CANYON HILLS 4, HELIX 1 – It just wasn’t the Helix Highlanders day as they were held to only two hits on the day on Tuesday.

Ta’Tiannah Wright would drive in the only run for the Highlanders as she and Neviah Conchas had the only hits in the game.

Helix falls to 1-4 on the season.

 

POINT LOMA 6, GROSSMONT 0 – Five runs scored by Point Loma in the fifth inning helped them in their shutout victory over Grossmont on Tuesday.

The only hits in the contest for Grossmont came courtesy of Jenna Ennis and Saraya Roope.

Grossmont falls to 3-2-1 with the loss.

 

LA COSTA CANYON 8, PATRICK HENRY 0 – Offensively it was a struggle for Patrick Henry as they were held to 2 hits by the La Costa Canyon Mavericks on Tuesday.

Leila Ludwig and Belle Will would provide the two hits for the Patriots.

Patrick Henry falls to 3-4 on the season.
