BELLFLOWER – St. John Bosco, which upded Coronao — then the top-ranked ballclub in the state by CalHiSPorts, proved worthy of its CIF Southern Section title.
On Saturday (*June 7), traves pitchers Brayden Krakowski and Jack Champlin combinedf on a 4-hit shutout, defeating the Patrick Henry Patriots, 4-0, for the Division 1 south region berth to the CIF State baseball Championships.

St. John Bosco (30-4), which has posted 20-win campaigns on three other times this century, will play for the state crown against a traditional football power, the De La Salle Spartans next weekend.
Patrick Hendy, the Western League champion which played second in the San Diego Secion Open Division tournament to Granite Hils, finhsed at 23-11-2.
St. John Bosco scored twice in the first two innings to chase the Patriots starting pitcher.
