Rancho de Oro Forces Decisive District 41 Championship Game with Shutout Victory
Rancho de Oro delivered a commanding 3-0 shutout over Rios Canyon in the California District 41 Little League Baseball 10-12 All-Stars championship game on Thursday, July 3, at Mor Field, Fletcher Hills Elementary School in El Cajon. Rios Canyon, undefeated in the winner’s bracket, needed just one win to secure the District 41 title, but Rancho de Oro’s stellar pitching and timely hitting forced a final, winner-takes-all game on Monday, July 7, at Fletcher Hills. The tournament, hosted by Fletcher Hills, featured intense pool play and a thrilling double-elimination finals bracket, showcasing the talent of East County’s young athletes.

Pool A (Host: Fletcher Hills, El Cajon)

Lakeside National went 3-0, dominating with a 12-1 rout of Jamul and a 10-3 victory over Fletcher Hills.

Fletcher Hills secured second place at 2-1, highlighted by a 15-0 shutout of Singing Hills and a 4-0 win over Jamul.

On Tuesday, July 1, Rios Canyon defeated Lakeside National in the winner’s bracket final (Game 7) to advance to the championship. In the elimination bracket semifinal (Game 8), Rancho de Oro defeated West Hills to stay alive. On Wednesday, July 2, Rancho de Oro eliminated Lakeside National in the elimination bracket final (Game 9), earning a championship matchup against Rios Canyon.
Championship Showdown
On Thursday, July 3, Rancho de Oro stunned Rios Canyon with a 3-0 shutout at Mor Field, forcing a second championship game on Monday, July 7, due to the double-elimination format. Rancho de Oro’s pitching silenced Rios Canyon’s potent offense, setting the stage for a dramatic winner-takes-all showdown for the District 41 title and a berth in the California Section 7 tournament. The outcome of the final game on July 7 will determine the champion.
District 33 Championship Recap
The San Carlos Little League 10-12 All-Stars captured the District 33 championship, earning a spot in the California Section 6 All-Star Tournament. San Carlos will face the District 31 champion in their opening game on Thursday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. at Escondido American Little League.
District 66 Championship Recap
In District 66, Valley de Oro and Spring Valley are set for a winner-take-all championship game on Saturday, July 5, following Valley de Oro’s 7-3 victory over Spring Valley to force the decisive matchup. The winner will claim the District 66 title and advance to the California Section 7 tournament.
