El Capitan 35, Santana 2
SANTEE – El Capitan quarterback Kylee Frazier became the first 100-yard rusher for the Vaqueros, going for 101 yards to establish a personal career-high for the second straight contest in Thursday’s Sept. 4 non-league victory at Santee Community Stadium.

In fact, Frazier produced the first 100-300 combo effort in Grossmont Conference history, tossing for 334 yards on 16-for-20 passing.
Senior slot receiver Ciara Bernardini, who is better known for her exploits on the softball diamond, collected two of Frazier’s three TD passes,
Bernardini finished with a school-record 215 reception yards (her previous personal best was 70 in the season opener).
Helix 18, Otay Ranch 0
OTAY MESA – The Helix Highlanders are blossoming into road warriors this season. The Scotties won for the third time in four starts away from Benton Hart Stadium with the decision over the host Mustangs (3-4).
The lone Helix road loss was by San Dieguito on a missed PAT attempt, 21-20, back in August.

Lillianna “Benji” Benabdeljalil
Scotties junior quarterback Lillianna “Benji” Benabdeljalil only needed to play just iover a half, still mounting 161 yards and a touchdown on 15-for-22 passing.
Devin Gideon collected six receptions, including a TD pass.
Helix (5-2) has now won three straight, twice by shutout against a rising defensive unit.
Samaya and Webb-Hosley and Mikaela Boone led with six flag pulls each.
El Cajon Valley 25, Logan Memorial 6
SAN DIEGO – El Cajon Valley ran its win streak to two by downing Logan Memorial Education Center, the newest charter scool in the San Diego Unified School District.
The Braves (2-3 overall), captured their inityial victory ina 33-12 winn over Sweetwater earlier in the week, then kept the momentum going with Thursday’s (Sept. 4) triumph over the Eagles.
Valhalla 15, Eastlake 60
RANCHO SAN DIEGO – The Valhalla Norsemen captured their first-ever varsity victory oin girls flag football, stopping visiting Eastlake.
Both ballclubs are now 1-5 overall.
Granite Hills 18, Cathedral Catholic 12
EL CAJON – In a battke of rankede ballclubs, Granite hills moved to 6-1 overall in this important non-leaffaie at Valley Stadium.
Cathedral Catholic fell to 6-1. The Eagles failed to make a game report.
Steele Canyon 34, Valley Center 0
JAMUL – Steele Canyon moved to 7-1 overall wuth the ballclub’s fourth shutout of the season. However, the Cougars’ weak schedule has three of the blankings — by a compositr mark of 157-0 — came against opponents with a composiute 2-11 record.
Thus, Steele Canyon doesn’t report its statistics.

Imperial 28, Steele Canyon 6
JAMUL – The best receiv ing yandem in the CIF-San Diego Section may not belong to a San Diego County school.
Imperial receivers Addison Clark and Aryssa Hellum eacxh hauled in seven receptions, leading the Tigers (10-1-12) to the non-league road victory over Steele anyon.
The Cougars (7-1) were seeking a record-tying 6-game, regular season win streak — Grossmont holds the mark — but the Tigers (10-1-2) never trailed in taking the wire-to-wire victory.
