El Capitan 16, at West Hills 3 – Series: Lowest scoring game since 2017 (WH 10-3)
Mountain Empire 36, Victory Christian 35 – RedHawks (5-1): Best start since 2011 (6-0)
Foothillers: Grossmont 20, Mira Mesa 0 –  First shutout win since 2019; first shutout vs. CIFSDS opponent since 2017 *df. WH, 42-0)
Steele Canyon 28, L.A.-Dorsey 0 – Cougars (6-0): Best start since 2019 (9-0).
Patrick Henry 48, Mt. Carmel 16 – Patriots: snap 7-game losing streak to Sundevils (last win: 21-7 in 1984, some 41 years ago)

Cathedral Catholic 40, Granite Hills 30 – Dons: lead series 2-0 (other game  was last season)
Fallbrook 34, Santana 28 – Warriors: lead series, 4-0
Madison 30, at Christian 28 – Series: Christian leads, 7-5, including a pair of 1-point wins (1996 and 2003)

Oceanside 26, Mount Miguel 25 – Pirates: were the first-ever opponent for Mountain Empire in 1925, ending in a 14-14 tie in North County… just 100 years ago!

El Capitan 38, Monte Vista 0 – Vaqueros: score 38 vs. MVHS for the fourth straight meeting.

Grossmont 28, at Otay Ranch 20 – Foothillers: lead all-time series, 5-3

Mount Miguel 35, at Poway 32 – Matadors: trailing in the first half, a big third quarter led to a 35-21 lead, then the visitors held on after the Titans went 11-0 in the fourth; Titans: first home loss toa Grossmont Conference school since 2019 (*to Grante Hills)

Steele Canyon 58, at Valhalla 6 – Cougars” equals second-highest point total in school history (62, vs. The Bishop’s, 2017, W 62-52 in CIFSDS playoffs)
Borrego Springs 56, Julian 38 – Rams: a high-scoring game, yet not a record (62-44, at West Shores, 2023)

Los Alamitos 49, Granite Hills 42 – Griffins: Trailing 21-14 early  in second quarter, the hosts score three unanswered TDs to close the half.
Mission Hills 52, at Ramona 0 Bulldogs: Fourth largest shutout loss in school history (64-0, vs. San Marcos, 1966)
Maranatha Christian 58, Foothills Christian 6
Santa Fe Christian 28, at Christian 14 – Patriots: In one of the school’s longest series, it’s now all even at 17-17-1.

LATE SCORE: ECVHS 32, Castle Park 23
Castle Park  (1-3) at ECVHS (1-3), late – Castle Park leads series, 3-1. The Braves win was the infamous CIFSDS playoff quarterfinals when the Braves won 56-32 in 2005, when QB Abe Muheize accounted for six TDs. The Trojans were originally ruled ineligible for the postseason, but took the issue to court — receiving a home game, too 0-0 but ECVHS dominated STORY

ECVHS 23, at Orange Glen 8 — Braves snap 14-game losing skid, last posting a 49-6 road playoff win at Kearny in 2023
El Capitan 21, Bonita Vista 7 — Vaqueros defeat the Barons for the first time in 8 meetings
Julian 68, Warner 6 — Fifth-highest point total in Eagles history

Grossmont 40, at La Jolla 28 — The Foothillers also beat the Vikings two times in 1924, both by shutout
Monte Vista22, at Coastal 14 — Monarchs sweep the 2-game series, wining 35-31 last season

Mount Miguel 44, Torrey Pines 10 — The Falcons suffer their first regular-season loss to an East County school since 1986 (Granite Hills, 21-3).
Steele Canyon 42, Temecula-Rancho Christian 14 — First 4-0 start for Cougars since opening 9-0 in 2019.

Patrick Henry 25, at Otay Ranch 10 — In the schools’ first-ever meeting last season, the Patriots won in the playoffs, so the Mustangs wanted revenge. The Pats agreed to play despite losing more than have of their roster to graduation… and they won again anyway, avoiding an 0-4 start with their first victory
Borrego Springs 49, at Calvin Christian 8 — The Rams are 2-0 for the first time since 2018, when they opened 7-0 and eventually advanced to the playoffs
