SAB MARCOS — The complaints on social media are already surging, basically saying,:We could;e won if we went seven full innings.: Instead, Granite Hills exploded for 16 runs (in just six innings) to whip the, perhaps, most hated, disrespected ballclub in the CIF-San Diego Section in the San Marcos Knights, 16-14
Perhaps Knights fans should complain about yielding 19 basehits, 6 walks, 2 hit batters and committing three errors — again,all in just six innings.
Jake Ervin and Colton Windham both homers and drive in three runs.
However, Jake Ervin and Jesse Maddox may have batted even better, both going 5-for-6 with four RBI. There was also a pair of RBI from Brodey Vicars.
Under head coach James Davis (a state Coach of the Year winner), the Eagles 2)-0) are now 5-1-1 in their last seven against San Marcos (1-1).
