Grossmont Hills League
West Hills def. Steele Canyon, 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 – Sophomore Kendall Cady, of West Hills, had 10 kills, while teammate Kyra Galloway added 8 kills, as West Hills won at home and kept their title hopes alive by improving to 3-2.
Senior Sam Fortin had 30 assists, while teammate Lindsay Campbell, a junior, had 17 digs for West Hills (18-9).
Senior Katelynn Caserma-Kloebe led the Cougars with 17 kills, while senior teammate Tyler Sinkovich added 30 digs and 9 kills and sophomore Julie May added seven kills.
Junior Ashley Whipple had five blocks for Steele Canyon (4-2, 23-12), while junior Gabi Gandolfo had 25 digs. Sophomore Chloe Gould had 26 assists for the Cougars.
Valhalla def. Grossmont, 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 – Maiya Lopez , of Valhalla, had 13 kills and 12 digs, while Brittney Beltz had three aces and 37 assists for the Norse. Rachel Kuhn, of Valhalla, had 24 digs.
Sophomore Hailey Wilson, a sophomore, had seven kills and three blocks for Valhalla (5-1, 15-7)
Grossmont Valley League
Santana def. Monte Vista, 25-18, 21-25, 12-25, 25-18, 15-12 – Santana improved to 4-4 in the GVL with a comeback victory over the Monarchs.
Helix def. El Cajon Valley 25-9, 25-8, 25-7 – Helix (7-0, 17-5) ensured at least a share of the Grossmont Valley League championship.
