LA MESA (12-21-15) — Six-foot-4, 180-pound Helix senior JACK STRONACH has committed to UCLA on a baseball scholarship.
The lanky third baseman batted .373 (38-102) with one home run and 17 RBI as a junior. He earned first team All-Grossmont Hills League and second team All-East County.
The Bruins baseball team finished 44-15 a year ago.
Following the path of Poteet
Christian High alum CODY POTEET, a UCLA product, was 7-1 with a 2.45 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 73.1 innings for the Bruins. He was a fourth round draft pick for the Miami Marlins and the 116th choice overall in the 2015 draft.
Stronach can only hope to follow suit.
