PATRIOTS SHUTDOWN CENTURIONS IN VICTORY

The Patriots took advantage of numerous miscues to prevail against the Centurions.

Christian in the bottom of the first pushed across a run thanks to Silent Rain Espinoza (1-2, R, 2 RBI) who walked, moved to second on a passed ball and would come around to score to make it 1-0.

They would add a couple more runs in the bottom of the second inning as Devyn Krystek (2R) led off with a walk, Issa Stephens (1-1, 2 R) singled, Espinoza singled driving in a run to make it 2-0 and Stephens would also score to make it 3-0.

Both Krystek and Stephens would start the top of the fourth with back to back walks and both Ashley Carter (2-4, RBI) and Audrey Shebloski (1-3, RBI) would single to drive them in to extend the lead to 5-0.

Christian would add another run in the bottom of the fifth when Jade Thompson walked and would come around to score on the base hit by Espinoza to round out the scoring.

Mallory Steele would also double in the game as she went 2-4.

Carter garnered the victory for the Patriots as she went 7 innings, giving up 0 runs on 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 1.
