The Patriots got the bats rolling in the second third and fourth innings as they pushed across two runs a piece in each inning to procure the win against the Pointers.
Patrick Henry got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning thanks to an RBI double by Dezianna Patmon (1-3, R, RBI, 2B) that scored Ario Rios (1-3, R) to make it 1-0, Patmon came into score on a ground ball out to make it 2-0.
More runs for the Patriots in the bottom of the third as Savanah Chapman (2-3, 3R, 2B) and Jessica Dewitt (1-2, R) hit back to back singles and Chapman came in to score on an error by the Pointers, Maddie Simmons (2-3, 3 RBI) singled which scored Dewitt to give the Patriots a 4-0 lead. They would push across a couple more runs in the bottom of the fourth to make it 6-0. The final run came in the bottom of the sixth as Chapman doubled and would come into score on a ground ball out by Simmons to make it 7-0.
#21 for the Patriots also went 1-3 while driving in a run and scoring a run.
Getting the win and also her first win for the Patriots was Avery Houchins who went all 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits while walking 0 and striking out 6 on the day.
