Grossmont 26, Valhalla 0 – at Rancho San Diego
The Grossmont Foothillers made history again, posting their third consecutive shutout after opening the season with 32-0 and 34-0 victories over Kearny and El Centro-Southwest. In a Powder Puff-era rematch against Valhalla, the Hillers earned a 26-0 win at the Norsemen’s home field, marking the third-largest shutout in Grossmont history. Grossmont improves to 4-1 overall (32-11 in two-plus seasons), while Valhalla falls to 0-2 after facing one of the toughest early-season schedules in the CIF San Diego Section, including a 46-0 loss to Top 10 Mater Dei Catholic.
Granite Hills 28, Olympian 21 – at Chula Vista
The Granite Hills Eagles remain perfect at 3-0 following a hard-fought road victory over Olympian. In the team’s closest contest of the season, the Eagles showed resilience and composure down the stretch, securing their second consecutive win at a South Bay school.
Steele Canyon 18, Ramona 6 – at Ramona
Steele Canyon’s Cougars dominated in their road matchup with Ramona, climbing the hill for an 18-6 victory over the Lady Dawgs in the latter’s season opener. Steele Canyon moves to 2-0, setting a strong early-season tone.
Bonita Vista 32, Santana 0 – at Santee
Rebounding from a rare loss earlier this season, the 2023 CIF-SDS champions Bonita Vista blanked Santana 32-0 at Santee Community Stadium. The victory reinforces the Bears’ dominance and highlights their strong start.
El Capitan 33, Monte Vista 0 – at Lakeside
El Capitan extended its home-field win streak to three with a 33-0 shutout of Monte Vista, an new club struggling to find its footing at 0-3. The Vaqueros improve to 3-1 overall.
Logan Memorial at West Hills – at Santee
Logan Memorial, the newest school in the CIF-San Diego Section, faced season debutante West Hills team in their first-ever matchup. Score and details were not reported.
