SANTEE — The West Hills Wolf Pack (7-9) surprised Brawley (10-5) with a shutout victory, snapping the Wildcats’ 6-gsme winning streak.

West Hills pitcher Maddie Aylesbury allowed just three hitsin her complete-game effort. M. Aylesbury, a senior, struck out four Wildcats batters without issuing a walk, gaining her fourth win on the season.

Aylesburg also batted 2-for-4 with a duble.

Meanwhile, Katy Spargo vlouted a 3-run homer to open the scoring in the second inning.

Sophomore Kiara Rabaya led the Pack with three hits, part of 16 collected by the hosts.

Five other registered two hits each — Haylee Kai, Katy Spargo, Reegan Veltre, Sophia Zayac and Aylesbury.

Another noted feat is with her three hits on the day Spargo now has 165 career hits and pulls her within one of former Wolf Pack standout Cortney Horne who tallied 166 career hits from 2011-14 and who also was a catcher and not only was ALL-CIF but also first team ALL-STATE during her standout career at West Hills.

Look for her to either tie or set a new school record for career hits next Thirsday.

West Hills with the win has now won two in a row and take their momentum into league play where they look to defend their league crown starting next Thursday on April 16th when they host Granite Hills at 4 PM.
