IRVINE – UC Irvibe outside hitter Madison Triplett equaled her career-high in kills to lead the host Anteaters to a sweep of UC Riverside (25-13, 25-18, 25-18) Saturday (Nov. 8) at the Bren Events Center. MORE
After a lackluster offensive performance yesterday, the Anteaters bounced back with a .301 showing (42-8-113) versus the Highlanders, the second best mark of the season.
Triplett tied her career-best with a team-high 14 kills. The sophomore recorded her third career double-double with 14 digs, while adding two block assists and an ace in the win.
A former member of the El Capitan Vaqueros, Tripless was the2023 Grossmont Hills League playerof the year, and a two-time East County Sports player of the year.
Triplett was recruited out of high school by UC Santa Barbara, but when a rash of international players were brought in iver the summer, “Trips” transferred to UCI, a Big West Conference rival.
