Sioux City, IA – Briar Cliff University Athletics has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class, and former West Hills High School and Charger football standout Noah Ylagan (Class of 2014) will be among the honorees. The induction ceremony is scheduled for January 17, 2026, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Ylagan, a native of San Diego, rewrote the Briar Cliff record books during his career, becoming the Chargers’ all-time leading rusher with 3,387 yards. He holds or contributes to 18 of the 20 current rushing records and remains the only Charger to rush for over 1,000 yards in multiple seasons—posting 1,334 yards in 2017 and 1,125 yards in 2018. He also set school records for rushing attempts, rushing touchdowns, and 100-yard rushing games, including an impressive 265-yard performance against Dakota Wesleyan in 2017.

“Noah was a great player who still holds 12 of the 14 individual rushing records at Briar Cliff,” said Dennis Wagner, former Briar Cliff coach. “A great leader on and off the field, our staff and his teammates are very proud of his Hall of Fame induction!”

Ylagan’s football journey began long before Sioux City.

As a youth in San Diego, he was coached by Savaii Seau, older brother of Pro Football Hall of Famer Junior Seau, whose mentorship laid the foundation for his success.

Ylagan went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Human Performance and a Master’s in Communications Management. He currently coaches Wide Receivers at Louisiana Christian University, the 2025 conference co-champions in Pineville, LA.

Ylagan becomes only the second football player ever inducted into the Briar Cliff Hall of Fame, joining an elite group of Chargers who have left a lasting impact on the program.

He will be joined in the 2026 class by Kate Boettcher, a standout libero in women’s volleyball, and Ricardo Yearwood, a prolific scorer for men’s basketball.

The 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony will celebrate the achievements of these three Chargers, honoring their contributions both on the field and in the classroom.

For Ylagan, the recognition cements a storied career that began at West Hills High School and continues to inspire young athletes today.
