SANTEE – Josh Epstein and Pedro Henrique have been named GSAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week announced by the conference Monday.
Epstein earned Defensive Player of the Week after he helped the Hawks shutout The Master’s College and Hope International in the week. He tallied five saves in the process.
Henrique delivered a goal and two assists for the Hawks to earn Offensive Player of the Week. He scored the game-winning goal against The Master’s College on Wednesday.
The wins against HIU and TMC clinched a playoff spot for the GSAC Tournament starting late next week. SDC still has two games on its schedule. They will host William Jessup on Thursday before traveling to Santa Barbara to face the Warriors of Westmont.
