TR1_0175SANTEE (1-16-16) — In a contest that many figured would be close and go in favor of the El Cajon Valley Braves, the host Santana Sultans had other ideas as they took the 48-25 victory in Grossmont Valley league play, Friday (Jan. 15).

Things started out well for the Braves as they were able to lead early on 9-5 after one period of play.

However things changed as the Sultans woke up and poured in 22 points in the second quarter to lead 27-17 at the break. Santana would also claim the third period 13-4 to lead 40-21 after three periods.

Doing her best to keep the Braves in the contest, LEANNA WATSON led them in scoring as she poured in 14 points.  Pacing the Sultans was KOBIE HOLLAND who punched in 17 points.
