Griffins conquer old rival Olympians on road

2015-16 GROSSMONT COLLEGE MEN’S BASKETBALL

KEARNY MESA (1-30-16) — The second place Grossmont College men’s basketball team hit pause on their Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North schedule to take on PCAC Southern rival and host San Diego Mesa on Friday (Jan. 29).
Grossmont made the trip over to the land of Olympia and walked out of the Gym with a Gold medal in the form of a 59-54 victory.
The win raised their overall record to 13-9 and they will put their 2-2 PCAC North record on the line on Wednesday (Feb. 3) when they host Mira Costa for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off in the Griffins gym.
Meanwhile, Cuyamaca College picked up its second win of the conference season and improved to 2-1 in the South by downing Southwestern, 73-64.
