SAN DIEGO (Nov. 6, 2016) – The Dallas Sidekicks came into Saturday’s (Nov. 5) game against the San Diego Sockers averaging 12 goals per contest. But the Sockers defense held the MASL’s highest scoring offense to a measly 4 goals, in a 8-4 Sockers victory at the Valley View Casino Center in front of a season-high 3,573.

San Diego dominated the first half on the scoreboard as they led 4-1 at intermission, tho the shots on goal were even with 11 a piece.

KRAIG CHILES had a pair of goals in the first 30 minutes of the match. The first, during a first quarter power play, was a laser from the red line ticketed for the top shelf. The second, just seconds before halftime, where he buried one from inside the box.

Dallas’ lone first half goal came just before the mid-way point of the second quarter when Carlos Videla was able to redirect Cody Ellis’ pass past Chris Toth.

The third quarter was a very defensive period as only one goal was scored by San Diego.

Both offenses erupted for six goals between the two clubs.

Dallas scored a pair of goals just 57 seconds apart from each other.

San Diego returned the favor with three goals from BRANDON ESCOTO and a pair of tallies from ANTHONY MEDINA.
