Griffins, Coyotes drop tourney games on Thursday

SAN DIEGO (12-30-16) — Grossmont College was eliminated from the San Diego Mesa Holiday Invitational Friday (Dec. 29) via a 70-52 setback at the hands of Buena Park Cypress College (7-7).
The loss was only the 2nd in eight games for the Griffins, who display an 8-7 overall record to date.
Next up for the Griffins is the Mira Costa Tournament which kicks off on January 3rd and runs through the 5th.
Meanwhile, the Cuyamaca Coyotes dropped their tournament game to East Los Angles, 77-70.
The Coyotes, however, are slated to finish the tournament on Friday.
