The Braves carried the play for much of the first half, but Adelanto (10-6-7) had better chances in the second half.

El Cajon Valley was able to shut down Adelanto’s respected wing game thanks to their superior size, which enabled the Braves to keep Adelanto’s top scorer off the board.

Now El Cajon Valley has advanced to Thursday’s 4 p.m. regional semifinal against L.A. Smidt Tech, which defeated Victor Valley on penalty kicks after the teams tied 0-0.
