Gaeir has two homers at all-stars

EL CAJON – The Fletcher Hills Little League 11-12 All-Stars rallied for an 11-7 victory over Santana National in the District 41 Tournament on Wednesday evening.

The victory for FHLL left all three teams in Pool C with a 1-1 record, but Santana National finished the three-team pool, which also included Rancho San Diego, with the worst run differential at -3. Fletcher Hills finished with a run differential of -2.

Alpine American’s KADE GAEIR homered for the second time in the tournament in a 4-0 win over El Cajon Western on Tuesday.

The Cajon de Oro 11-12 All-Stars went 3-0 in pool play to finish on top in Pool A.

In Pool B, El Cajon National went 2-1.

Singing Hills Little League won Pool D, sweeping a pair of wins.

District 33

JOJO AGUAN singled to drive in CHARLIE CARSON to tie the game as Lake Murray went on to an 8-1 victory over La Mesa National on Thursday night for the second-straight win in the District 33 tournament.

Lake Murray and La Mesa National both dropped their opener, but picked up wins to set up the elimination showdown between the La Mesa leagues.

On Wednesday, La Mesa National defeated Serra Mesa, 15-13.

The game was tied 3-3 after one inning, but La Mesa National’s CAIDEN LINDSAY hit for the cycle in the wild contest.

Lindsay hit a three-run home run in the second inning.

Earlier, he doubled in the first before hitting a single in the fourth. So he needs a triple in the fifth, and he hits one under the glove of the center fielder to complete the cycle.

In the fifth, he hit the ball past the try of the center fielder for a triple.

Serra Mesa scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth for a near-devastating rally for LMN, but Lindsay got the final out on the mound.

San Carlos Little League is 2-0 and has outscored its two opponents, 30-2. SCLL faces Rolando on Friday evening in a winner’s bracket semifinal.

District 66

NICO MOSELY hit a home run for Lemon Grove Little League in an 8-4 win over Las Palmas, as LGLL rallied from an early 3-0 deficit in the District 66 opener on Thursday at Spring Valley Little League.

On Tuesday, Valley de Oro defeated Encanto, 12-4, also at SVLL.

VDO’s DAVID RODRIGUEZ drove in JUSTIN STONE and CADEN STROBEL for a 4-0 first-inning lead.

CALEB TAA-JONES doubled home ENRIQUE RODRIGUEZ in the second inning as Valley de Oro to extend the early advantage.

The teams will meet in the winner’s bracket final on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Spring Valley League Little.
