SAN DIEGO – BRANDEN ROARK poured in 38 points, including five three-pointers, helping the San Diego Kings rally in the second half for a 129-119 season-opening ABA win over the San Diego Guardians at Lincoln High on Saturday night.
The Kings trailed by seven at halftime, 60-53, but went on a 40-29 spurt in the fourth quarter to take the lead.
BRAXTON SMITH and JAMES HANCOCK both added 15 points for the Kings, while JULIAN SAMPAH added 12 points for the host Kings.
Hancock had 10 rebounds, while Roark added nine boards.
San Diego held a 36-30 margin in the fourth quarter to pull away.
AARON FELIX dished out a team-high seven assists for the Kings (1-0).

The Kings will face the Oakland Town Hawks this Saturday at 6 at Lincoln High.
