Week 6 Prep Football Poll

SAN DIEGO (9-29-15) — For the second consecutive week, HELIX is the second best team in San Diego according to the San Diego Union-Tribune Sportswriters / Sportscasters Prep Football Poll that was released on Monday (Sept. 28).
Also for the second straight week, the East County has four total team receiving votes. As mentioned above, Helix is number two. Joining them is CHRISTIAN at the ninth spot, GROSSMONT just outside of the top 10 and taking home one vote is VALHALLA.
Mission Hills takes home the top spot for the fifth straight week. As we are approaching the midway point in the season, the game between Mission Hills and Oceanside a week from Friday will be a major game as it will have Mission Hills hosting fourth ranked Oceanside. Both teams have a bye week this Friday.
Games this week featuring East County teams that are ranked include: 2 Helix travels to Southwestern College to take on RV Bonita Vista, Saturday night 9 Christian will take on La Jolla, RV Grossmont will travel to RV Poway and finally West Hills will travel to RV Valhalla. All games begin at 7 o’clock at night.
