Griffins out to 3-0 start in conference

SAN MARCOS – Grossmont rolled to its third-straight PCAC win to open the conference season, taking out host Palomar Wednesday night, 25-17, 25-14, 25-9.
Sophomore Brooke Callahan had nine kills for Grossmont, while freshman Robyn Arthur had 10 aces.
The Griffins improved to 9-5 overall and have some of the state’s top performers so far heading into Wednesday nights’s win.
The Griffins’ Arthur is currently No. 7 in the state in hitting percentage at .373, while Callahan is currently No. 8 in the state in hitting percentage with .367.
Grossmont was No. 3 in the state for team hitting percentage, No. 4 in the State for total number of kills as a team, No. 3 in the state for total number of aces as a team, and No. 5 in the state for total number of blocks as a team and for total number of assists.
