EL CAJON (5-12-16) — Christian High had one for the books in Wednesday’s (May 17) Central League 17-1 rout of visiting Lincoln.
Eighteen Patriots participated in the lopsided victory and every one of them reached base. Fourteen of them scored, 12 of them had hits and 9 posted RBI.
GARRET MAZZA was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Leadoff man KYLE STOWERS was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and a triple.
Christian broke the game open with 6 runs in the second inning, and then ran the table.
The Patriots also scored 6 runs in the sixth inning.
In the 6-run second inning Mazza slashed a 2-run single and Stowers whacked a 2-run triple.
In the third inning JAKOB BECK rifled a triple and scored on a base hit by Mazza. Stowers followed with an RBI single.
