MADISON 48, SANTANA 32 – The Warhawks defeated the Sultans by shutting them out in the first quarter on Wednesday.
The Sultans trailed 26-12 at halftime but outscored Madison, 12-7, in the third quarter.
Bella Terry’s basket in the third quarter brought her to 10 points and closed the lead briefly to single digits at 28-19.
Santana fell to 4-12 overall.
LIBERTY CHARTER 39, PATRICK HENRY 30 – The Liberty Charter Lions on Wednesday defeated Patrick Henry behind 21 points from freshman Sabrina Espelet.
Junior Tatiana Taylor added 14 points for the Lions.
Espelet and Taylor combined for 32 rebounds and 10 steals in the game. Espelet also blocked three shots.
Liberty led 14-4 after one quarter.
CARLSBAD 61, GROSSMONT 46 – The Foothillers fell to Carlsbad on Thursday after trailing just 32-30 at halftime.
Grossmont fell to 9-7 on the season, while the Lancers improved to 14-3.
MOUNTAIN EMPIRE 40, DEL LAGO ACADEMY 38 (OT) – On Thursday, the RedHawks defeated the Firebirds in overtime.
Mountain Empire improved to 4-6.
The RedHawks led 18-15 at halftime.
