Pats bats in classic form versus Caimans

EL CAJON (4-4-17) — In a rare Monday afternoon (Apr. 3) non-league joust with Classical Academy, the Christian High Patriots registered a 12-6 victory over the Caimans.
Christian (10-2) shattered a 2-1 deficit with 7 runs in the third inning.
ZACH HOGUEISSON led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run after the Caimans scored 2 runs in the top of the first.
The Patriots scored 7 runs in the third inning to break the game open. ALONZO RICHARDSON slammed a 2-run double, and JAKOB BECK followed with another 2-run double. JUSTIN LEDGERWOOD added a 2-run double as well.
In the 7th inning, DAVID JOSEPHSON slugged a home run to finish the Patriots scoring.
“It was a good win for us,” said Patriots assistant coach BRYAN MITCHELL. “It was a great time to get a lot of kids some play. Nine players got hits and it was a good opportunity to get some guys pitching time too.”
The Patriots will travel to Francis Parker on Tuesday (Apr. 4) for an evening game that starts at 6:30 p.m. under the lights.
