Non-East County scores and highlights from Wednesday’s bracket finales:

CLASSIC DIVISION

Bishop Gorman 4, La Costa Canyon 0 – Senior Jarrod Billig threw a no-hitter at one of San Diego’s top squads, while four Gaels drove in runs in a third-inning rally. Billig allowed just a walk while facing two over the minimum.

Agoura 5, Green Valley 3 – Agoura scored two in the top of the seventh as Spencer Lin drove in two with a base hit in a game played at La Costa Canyon High. Dexter Wilson pitched a complete game three-hitter for the Chargers, striking out five. Agoura will face Helix in Thursday’s semifinals at noon at Cathedral Catholic High.

Torrey Pines 4, El Camino Real 2 – In 10 innings, winner Griffin Johnson and three other Falcons took to the hill. Gus Patrick hit a leadoff homer in the top of the 10th for the designated visitors. Tino Capozzoli had two hits and an RBI for Torrey.

Rancho Bernardo 9, Westlake 0 – Junior David Bear threw a two-hit shutout then Westlake got a taste of the Broncos attack, led by senior Alika Williams, who had three hits and two RBI. Fellow RB senior Tora Otsuka also drove in two with a pair of hits.

Newbury Park 3, Eastlake 2 – In a game played at Torrey Pines High, Newbury Park senior Cole Falsken scored on a wild pitch in the top half of the 8th for the decisive run. Kenton Carruthers got the win with 1 2/3 shutout innings, while Jake Miller etched a two-out save on a lineout double play 4-3. Casey Schmidt drove home Micha Pitiela-Wiggs and Ben Ramirez for a 2-1 Eastlake lead in the sixth inning.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Bishop Gorman at Torrey Pines, noon

Agoura vs. Helix at Cathedral Catholic, noon

Championship at Cathedral Catholic, 3:30 p.m.

 

PREMIER DIVISION

Francis Parker 8, Santa Monica 1 – Senior captain Nick Allen homered for the Lancers to lead off the game and freshman Joseph Cetale got the win. Junior Jimmy Chatfield drove in two in the top of the second with a single to right.

Carlsbad 3, Montgomery 2 – Carlsbad went 2-1 in the tournament, improving to 9-7 overall.

Poway 3, San Marcos 0 – Justin Miller pitched a three-hitter, striking out five and walking one for the Titans. Senior Blake Wagenseller had two hits, scored a run and drove home a run. Taylor Johnson scored on a Wagenseller single.

Desert Oasis 7, Scripps Ranch 2 – The Diamondbacks got into the tournament win column to finish 1-2, while improving to 15-7 overall.

St. Augustine 3, Silverado 2 – At Hickman Field, the Saints won it in the eighth. Seniors Nico Anderson and Matt Staker both singled and scored in the contest for the Saints. Nick Rhodes went two scoreless innings and got the win, striking out two.

Vista 4, Palisades 0 – Senior Andrew Geisler threw a complete game two-hitter, recording seven strikeouts, while teammate Frankie Scalzo, a senior, had two hits, a run and a RBI.

La Jolla Country Day 14, Foothill 2 – Torreys junior Carson Greene hit for the cycle and AJ Dhus added a home run as LJCD pounded out 14 hits. Senior Ben Petty-Hull drove in three runs for the Torreys, while senior Brandon Nance went six innings for the win.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Parker vs. Poway at PLNU, 10:30 a.m.

Vista vs. La Jolla Country Day at PLNU, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at PLNU, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 6A

Patrick Henry 5, Mission Hills 2 – The Patriots earned a spot in the semifinals to face Steele Canyon as Alex Willkomm had two hits, including an double and two RBI. Senior Tyler Hawke also drove in a pair. Senior Zach Snodgrass earned the win with five innings.

Point Loma 3, Otay Ranch 1 – Juniors Austin Correia and A.J. Schrader combined for the victory. Senior Frank Rogienski doubled in a run, while junior Trevor Sykes singled one in for the Pointers.

Calabasas 5, San Ysidro 3 – Diego Ramirez had two hits, two RBI and threw four innings for the visitors from the north.

Rocklin 3, La Jolla 0 – Rocklin broke through with one in the sixth and two in the seventh to make a winner of JT Fitzpatrick, who spun a six-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks. Cole Brown and Mitchell Secondo each drove in a run for the Thunder.

Coronado 8, El Camino 4 – Junior Brandon Depperschmidt had three RBI, while senior Wyatt Montegue drove in two with a couple of hits for the Islanders. Junior Nick Kaczowski was 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI for Coronado.

Crespi 4, Bonita Vista 3 – Crespi’s Hamish McClure drove in the decisive run in the top of the sixth.  Jared Espinoza got the win with a complete game.

Patrick Henry at Steele Canyon, 10 a.m.

Point Loma at Westview, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at Westview, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 5A

Vista Grande 7, Taft 5 – At Del Norte, the Arizona invaders rallied for six in the last half of the sixth as junior Abel Armenta and senior Ray Moreno both finished the game with two RBI apiece for Vista Grande. Sophomore Martin Rodriguez had three hits, scored a run and drove home one.

South Torrance 2, Escondido 0 – Senior Nathan Critchet went 5 1/3 innings for the win, while freshman Dawson Hokuf and junior Jacob McNally drove in runs for South. Ryan Wilmouth scored on Hokuf’s single.

Thousand Oaks 14, Foothill (Nev.) 1 – In an afternoon tilt at El Capitan, Thousand Oaks advanced to the semifinals.

Ramona 9, University City 6 – The visiting Bulldogs got a home run and two RBI from Cameron Rowles, a senior, while Derek Diamond, a sophomore, had three hits and drove in three.

Mira Mesa 6, Brawley 2 – In a game played at Francis Parker, the Marauders’ Sammy Huber drove in three runs and sophomore Zayne Mauga got the win.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Ramona vs. South Torrance at Westview, 10 a.m.

Mira Mesa vs. Thousand Oaks at Steele Canyon, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at Steele Canyon, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 4A

Sage Creek 5, Mission Bay 3 – The Bobcats won on the road as senior Tanner Blough had two hits, a RBI and a run scored to make a winner of starter Jonathan Molina, a senior who went the distance.

Sweetwater 5, Nevada Union 3 – The Red Devils led 5-0 and held off the Miners. Senior Memo Espinoza drove in a pair of runs for Sweetwater, while senior teammate Abraham Gonzalez had a double and a triple. Freshman Claudio Corrales went the distance with a three-hitter.

Canyon Crest 8, Mater Dei Catholic 0 – Junior Matthew Fleck was on-point, going the distance for a three-hitter. The Ravens won on the road as senior Niko De Boucaud had a pair of RBI. Junior Arjun Nichani had two hits, drove in a run and scored a run.

St. Paul’s 9, Calexico 4 – At Granite Hills, St. Paul’s scored seven in the third, as Julian Sansores had a double, a triple and three RBI for the Swordsmen.

Oceanside 7, Clairemont 4 – Junior Ricky Lundy was 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Pirates, while junior Mike Thomas got the win and junior Antonio Escalante got the save.

Oxnard 4, San Diego 3 – Visiting Oxnard scored four in the third as Vincent Arenas had a two-run single and finished with three hits on the day. Kaiser Weiss added an RBI double for Oxnard. Junior Michael Paredes had three hits and two runs scored for the Cavers.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Canyon Crest vs. Oceanside at Mater Dei, 10 a.m.

St. Paul vs. Sage Creek at Mater Dei, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at Mater Dei, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 3A

San Pasqual 2, Madera South 1 – Junior Drew Thomas and sophomore Elijah Jackson drove in the runs for the Golden Eagles to support Andrew Walsh’s complete game six-hitter.

San Dieguito Academy 1, South Gate 0 – Jack Kulick, a junior, went five innings for the win, while Pete Gagne, a sophomore went the final two for the save. Senior Matt Shearin had two hits for the Mustangs.

Menlo Academy 5, Del Oro 1 – At Hickman Field, the Knights scored four in the fifth, as senior Ben Somorjai finished the game with 3 RBI and sophomore Justin Nam drove in a pair and earned the win with four innings of shutout ball.

Hilltop 7, Roosevelt 6 – Kelton Wenger stole a base scored a key run and drove in the game winner for the Lancers. Evan Moreno drove in the game-tying run just moments earlier with a ground rule double.

Bishop’s 1, Mt. Carmel 0 – The Knights needed 10 innings for the road victory on a RBI single by junior Andy Semo. Four pitchers combined on the win.

Mission Vista 7, Chula Vista 3 – In a game played at Rancho Bernardo High, Michael Lopez homered and doubled, scoring a pair of runs for Mission Vista, plus went the distance for the victory. Senior Reggie Nieblas had two hits and two RBI for Mission Vista.

Olympian 3, Valley Center 0 – Brandon Ridgels went 6 2/3 innings for the win, while senior Daniel Dorado had two RBI for the Eagles.

Serra 3, Mar Vista 1 – Serra improved to 12-5 as senior Tate Samuelson doubled down the right field and drove in a pair of runs for a 2-0 lead. He also pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief to earn the save. Starter Scott Sipchen got the win, allowing two hits over 4 2/3 innings. Gabriel Preciado had the RBI for the Mariners.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Bishop’s vs. Del Oro at Mt. Carmel, 10 a.m.

Olympian vs. Serra at Mt. Carmel, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at Mt. Carmel, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 2A

Placer 13, South Lake Tahoe 6 – At Mt. Carmel High, junior Travis Warren had two hits and drove in four runs for Placer. Senior Jay Maloney pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings for the win.

Horizon Christian 8, High Tech San Diego 4 – In a game played at Mount Miguel, Horizon improved to 8-10 on the season as JP Dolan pitched a complete game. The Panthers’ Chris Glevy was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI, while Josh Simpson drove in three runs and Matt Simpson drove in two.

Palo Verde Valley 16, Maranatha Christian 5 – The Yellowjackets got into the Lions win column.

EC Southwest 1, Whitter Christian 0 – In a game played at San Pasqual High, Victor Velarde drove the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and pitched a complete game three-hitter.

Imperial 5, North Hollywood 4 – At San Dieguito High, the Tigers won on a walk-off hit from Christian Zamudion. Kobby Lopez drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers, including the game-tying run in the sixth, while Alejandro Duarte pitched four scoreless innings in relief for the win, striking out four.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Classical vs. Foothills Christian at City College, 10 a.m.

Maranatha vs. EC Southwest at City College, 12:30 p.m.

Championship at City College, 3:30 p.m.

 

DIVISION 1A

Capital Christian 11, Sunrise Mountain 3 – In a contest at Monte Vista High, sophomore Xavier Carter doubled twice and drove in four runs and junior Tyler Penn brought home three with RBI for Capital Christian.

Alpha Charter 7, High Tech Chula Vista 6 – The Angels won the game on a hit by Devin Johnson in the eighth. Joquin Murphy had three RBI for the Angels.

Calipatria 14, Mountain Empire 3 – The Hornets’ Gilberto Disilagua, a senior, drove in five runs and fellow senior Simon Ortiz homered and drove in four.

Holtville 13, Morse 6 – Octavio Loya was 3-for-3 with four RBI for Holtville, while sophomore Alonso Carranza got the win.

Castle Park 12, Orange Glen 4 – Sophomore Emilio Luno homered, tripled, drove in two and scored three runs for the Trojans, which led 8-1 after two.

Linfield Christian 16, Lincoln 1 – LCHS scored nine runs in the second inning, as the Lions put up another big number on Wednesday as senior Kevin Wiseman homered and senior Bryce Acosta drove in a pair. Sophomore Anthony Alfino got the win.

SD Southwest 12, Tri-City Christian 8 – Host Southwest got three RBI from sophomore Dominic Escobar and two RBI from senior David Aguayo. Tri-City Christian’s Zach Reitmeyer drove in four runs on three hits.

Rancho Christian 4, Kearny 3 – Grant Albert went four innings for the win, while junior Carter Treadway had two hits, scored a run and drove in a run.

Thursday’s Semifinals/Final

Capital Christian vs. Linfield Christian at Hickman Field, 10 a.m.

Rancho Christian vs. Holtville at Hickman Field, 12:45 p.m.

Championship at Hickman Field, 3:30 p.m.

 

 

DIVISION 1A PLUS

American Christian 4, Arleta 1 – In a game played at Steele Canyon, the Eagles improved to 19-3 overall.

Army-Navy 21, Crawford 2 – Army-Navy got in the tournament win column in a big way.

Valley Academy 8, Gompers 5 – VAA&S won its first game of the tournament.

Championship: Escondido Charter vs. American Christian at San Diego High, 3:30 p.m.
